I ride the bus to work now. I’ve been doing it for a little over a month. It’s awesome because I can sit back, pop-in my ear buds and listen to music. It also gives me time to catch up on some emails, surf facebook or read texts. Sometimes, I just gaze out the window and people watch. In doing so, I’ve noticed that an alarming amount of people text and drive. I’m not talking about the occasional “glance-at-your-phone” texting. I’m talking about the full on “looking-down-at-your-phone-for-numerous-seconds-while-your-car-is-in-motion-going-highway-speeds” texting. If you’re one of those people, slap yourself because you’re an idiot. But there’s a chance for redemption. All you have to do is stop being an idiot and to do so, stop texting and driving. My friend Judy shared a youtube video about the dangers of texting and driving. I’m sure there are a ton of these types of videos out there, but it’s worth sharing. I’m not writing this post as someone that never texts and drives. I’m guilty, but I’m stopping and you should to.
A wise man learns from his own mistakes, but a wiser man learns from the mistakes of others…
