This weekend was busy. We did a bunch of school prep for Layla since she’s starting kindergarten this year! Exciting times! Sheena had to travel to Atlanta during the week. With that, I took Layla to her Meet & Greet at her school on Thursday. She found a friend from her Montessori school, so she ditched me. It was sorta awkward sitting in a school cafeteria as an adult without a kid next to me. I’m sure other parents were wondering why I was there!
Before we met the teachers, some of the older students talked about what they liked the most about the school.
Then we headed to the classroom and got our supplies in order.
It was great to actually meet the teacher and get things settled before the first day of school.
On Friday, I picked up the kids from school and we headed to Singapore Cafe for dinner. Sheena flew in from Atlanta, so she met us up.
Saturday morning, Sheena had to work, so the kids and I hung out. We played outside a bit as well.
Later that evening, we headed to Dudley and Betsey’s house for a monthly prayer meeting we’re a part of. It was great to hang out with everyone!
The kids especially enjoyed Jeremiah’s company!
On Sunday, we did our usual (Church and HEB), but after that, I had to go into work to print some things out because I needed to work from home on Monday to watch the kids.
After that, we just kicked it at home. Overall a pretty nice weekend! I know I’m posting this on a Tuesday, but it’s just been a lil busy with the first day of school and all (I’ll write about that on the next post!)
