Remember this beautiful farm table?
Check out how small Layla was! awww…..
If you don’t recall this table, catch up by reading about the build here.
When we moved, the table didn’t have the benefit of a huge covered patio to protect it from the elements. Now it looks like this:
Sad, I know… Many people would come by and tell me “hey, cover it up” or, “if you don’t do something about that table, it’s going to be ruined”. Well, I didnt listen and they were all right. It’s pretty much ruined. Being that it’s an eyesore and a potential hazard to people I needed to move it. Nobody was home, so I did it myself (another really smart move on my part). In that process, to add insult to injury, two of the legs gave out due to me dragging it on the grass.
On a brighter note, I now have a ramp to jump my bike off of…. (not really).
Maybe I can salvage the wood for another project… or build a nice fire. Being that it’s something I built, I know I can rebuild it, so it’s not a big deal, but it still hurts to see it all busted up after all the hard work that was put into it. But really, it’s is great to have a project like this to know how to construct things better for future builds. Although I lost a table, I’ve gained knowledge….
