This weekend was jam packed!
Thursday night our friends Aaron and Nancy came into town because of a wedding. They stayed over, but were so busy with the wedding stuff that we really didn’t get to hang too much.
Friday after work we stopped by Texas Biergarten. It’s a new spot that opened up next to our house. The icing on the cake? The owners are Sheena’s cousins!
The food is great and its a pretty chill spot.
They’re still in the “soft open” stage of the business, but I would highly recommend that you check them out! https://www.texasbiergarten.com/
On Saturday, Nancy and Maddy had time before the wedding, so we took a walk to the park…. Well, we walked. These two enjoyed the wagon while Layla rode her bike.
We had some friends come over on Saturday, so I “grilled” up some burgers. I know some of y’all will give me grief about “grilling” on a skillet, but I don’t care! It’s quick, easy and less of a hassle!
Ezzy was my taste tester. He approved!
Here’s a pic of the Saturday crew.
We had a pinata sitting in our closet that we didn’t use yet, so we busted that out.
Sheena is a part of the “Breakfast Club” text group that chat daily. This was essentially a meet up of that group. Here’s a video explaining it a bit more.
Later that day we saw this hawk-looking bird perched on our unfinished playground.
Sunday was Mother’s Day. The kids made Sheena cards.
Sheena had to do a work event, so the kids and I went to The Bridge to see Dean and Kate’s dedication service.
There were a ton of kids being dedicated!
For lunch we invited our moms over. I brined and baked some chicken the day before, but the day of, I grilled ’em just to give it that BBQ feel/taste. The kids played with bubbles.
We had more cakes than we knew what to do with ’em.
Here’s a pic of the whole crew!
Overall a pretty busy, but very fun weekend!
