Today (Oct. 11th, 2010) I turn 29 and based on some comments on my Facebook wall, this is the last year of my youth! And although I don’t want to believe it, I think they’re right! I drink tea in the morning. I don’t like being out that late. I watch the news. My plans for the weekend now consist of yard work and fixing things around the house. I get excited to go to the Home Depot. My friend circle has an increased baby count. I prefer khakis to jeans. That’s all “old people” stuff, right?
I’m accepting that fact that I’m growing older. It’s a part of life and it should be enjoyed, so that’s what I’ll do. Thanks for all of the well wishes for my birthday and I appreciate all the love!
Funny… this post got me thinking about how we had very similar lives at one time and now so different! The only thing I can relate to is that I make coffee in the mornings, but now that I work at a place that provides Guayaki Yerba Mate, I now use that for my morning pick me up. I wonder how much would be different if I stayed in houston and just moved into my own place in the city… obviously parental pressures and all my friends being married would create a different reality reality than I have out here.
