This Thanksgiving was a blur. A lot happened. On Wednesday, Layla went to her cousin’s (Bruce) school for their International Day. She got a henna tattoo there.
Here’s a shot with the artist!
Later that day we all packed into my Dad’s SUV and headed to Dallas. Outside of the 1-hour delay because of Houston traffic, we actually got there in decent time. We got settled in around 10pm and just kicked it at my uncle’s house for the night.
The next morning, everyone was up and started getting Thanksgiving lunch ready. Layla helped by mashing the yams.
Then it was time to relax on the couch with Appachan.
Around noon, the rest of the family started to come to the house. We had a small meeting with music…

Then it was time to grub.
After eating we stepped outside to snap some pictures.
I’m not a very small dude (I’m 6ft tall), but next to my cousins I feel like a shrimp! They’re all younger than me, but significantly taller than me!
Here’s a shot of the little ones too…
Dad and Ezzy playing the keyboard.
Unfortunately not all of the family was able to make it, but it was great to see everyone that did come out! That night, the kids (and all of us) were exhausted. We stayed home the entire day (which was great!)
Jancy and Layla jacked my phone and snapped a bunch of pics. Here’s one of ’em!
Friday morning, we casually ate breakfast and then headed out back to Houston.
We had to stretch our legs, so Buc-ee’s is the stop to be at!
We came home quickly because Sheena’s mom was hosting dinner at her house. I was so tired from our trip that I forgot to snap pictures. But trust me, the food was good and the company was fun!
Saturday morning, we bundled up the kids and did some shopping.
Later that evening, Blesson and Jolly hosted a dinner for a few friends.
The kids loved playing in Bruce’s room.
The food was great! Bless and Jolly made Thai food. Kavitha made some amazing dessert and Biju/Anitha bought a cake from La Madeline. All of it was awesome!
Sunday we went to Church and then to HEB to shop for the week (the usual).
It was a full weekend, but since we had rain throughout, it forced us to stay inside and just relax a bit, which turned out to be pretty nice. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday!
