Labor Day Weekend!

This weekend we hung out with some friends and family.  On Friday, Sheena made a delicious meal and we had a few friends over for dinner.

We rarely get to hang with Paulson, Annie, Nizy and Justin, so it was great to kick it for a bit and catch up on life!

Saturday morning I started a project to organize the office a little bit.  We have a built in desk that’s a waste of space in my opinion, but I didn’t want to tear the whole thing down.  The desk is too small/short to be used as a computer space, so instead I thought it would be a good space to fix things, set up cameras, charge batteries, etc… With that, I got a pegboard, cut it down to size, painted it and started hanging things to make them readily available for use.

It’s still a work in progress, but I like the ability to see the gear and grab and go and needed.  I thought about filming the process, but I just wanted to get it done, so opted to not.  Like I said, the office is still a work in progress.  As pictured below, its still a mess!

But we’re working on it!

Saturday night we went to Shane and Jenny’s apartment for dinner.  It was fun to just kick it for a bit.  I was supposed to go to a friend’s 40th birthday party that night as well.  The next morning, I had to volunteer at the children’s ministry at our church, meaning I had to get up early for that, so I had to miss out on what looked like an awesome party!  Happy birthday, Robin!  Sorry I missed all the fun!

Sunday, after going to church and doing our HEB run, we chilled at the house for a bit.  Then we headed to Wes and Kasey’s house for Daniel’s 1st Birthday!  Here’s a quick shot of the kids on a swing.

Here’s a quick video of the party:

Monday was Labor Day, but since it was raining the entire day, we basically stayed home.  Sheena picked up a few new chairs for the breakfast room and I stayed home with the kids.  When she got back I assembled the chairs and the Sheena and the kids went to visit Mom in Pearland.

Overall, a pretty great weekend!
