We spent the past weekend with my high-school friends (G-Tribe) in Galveston.
I say “high school”, but we all actually go way further back. Some as far as elementary school! We try our best to do a retreat once a year. Since high school, our crew has grown. Wives and kids grew our original 7 guys to 22 people (with 2 more on the way!).
Before we got into town, Sheena wanted to stop by a certain place for lunch. She went there before during a work event and said the food was pretty good. It’s called “Shrimp & Stuff”. Once we pulled up, I wasn’t so sure how great it would be based on the sign…
I mean, if the sign is that jacked up… how good could the food be, right? I was wrong.. apparently they focus sooo much on the food that they ain’t got no time to fix their sign! It was pretty good! A good quick meal.
Once we got to the house, some of the crew was already there. The kids got along great!
We hung outside for a good while. We flew kites, played football and just had a good time!
For dinner we had DIY pizza. It was awesome!
Then the kiddos got ready for bed while the adults (well some of the adults) stayed up and talked all night.
Saturday after breakfast, we carved out some time to hang on the beach.
After beach time, we all got cleaned up and changed to our “G-Tribe” shirts. Aaron designed and printed ’em for us! Then the girls did a baby shower for Nancy and Maya since they’re expecting babies!
Then we just kicked it for the rest of the day.
Lots to celebrate!
G and Judy hosted “minute to win it” games for us all to play.
Then we hopped back outside to do some more kite flying.
Here are some group shots!
